Robo O-Games (Saturday, December 1, 2007)
This was the first tournament hosted by the MVCC Robotics club. The event was held in the hallway outside of T921A and T921B in the Center for Contemporary Technology at Moraine Valley Community College. John Lanigan was the tournament director and contest official.
Twelve people competed in the tournament and most had an entry in both events. Another 15-20 people, including seven students from eFun Explorations Academy, showed up to cheer the competitiors on. A reporter from a local newspaper called The Reporter was present to write an article for the December 6 issue of the paper. Pizza was provided by Jane Long, Assistant Dean of Science, Business, and Computer Technology. KJohn Kjellman dominated the standings with his creation Flippy (standings are listed below). The event lasted from about three and a half hours - after which the spectators and participants had to brave an ice storm on their way home.
